Work in Canada

Speaking about our Canadian dream, I don’t know if I can get to avail of any IT Jobs there. All I know about the internet is blogging, tweaking wordpress and blogger blogs, blog hosting, facebooking and the like. I don’t even know how to do any networking jobs.

Anyway, I can do any kind of work actually with proper training. I believe I am a fast learner and a diligent worker. I am a workaholic by nature and love to improve always. So, do you think I get a chance to migrate and work there?

Canadian Dream

I visited a Canadian immigration site and took those assessment tests they have if my husband and I are eligible to migrate to Canada. Unfortunately we failed the test, the only test wherein I have the slightest chance is to get a student visa and study any of their most in demand professions. That means I may need to apply in a medical assistant training school or a hospitality course.

Anyway, I wanted to do that but I guess my husband has more chances if he gets a Canadian employer that would hire him to work for them and maybe after two years of work, he can apply for an immigrant status and someday petition us to be with him.

Oh well, I just hope our Canadian dream will come true. My children are excited with the idea already. God bless our dreams!

Electric Fireplaces

Since I lived in a tropical island, having a fireplace inside our home is somehow unrealistic. A hot weather almost all year round proves that we don’t need such inside our homes. But since fireplaces create a beautiful ambiance of beauty and warmth during cold nights, I think having one might be something. Of course, I am not referring to the real fireplace with smoke going out the chimney but an electric fireplace.

electric fireplace

Yup, you heard me right. There is such thing that is called an electric fireplace. It is just like any other ordinary home appliance. It looks like a real fireplace but has an LCD screen to project the illusion of fire. It also gives controlled warmth.

Anyway, an electric fireplace has become an alternative especially in condominiums who wants to have a warm ambiance in their unit without having the real smoke. So, how about you? Do you think electric fireplaces are cool?

Permits, Renewals and More

The New Year has come and that means it’s a new year to file all government required taxes, renewal of business permits, registration of vehicles and so many more. This also means you need to get all the necessary clearances, permits, and even a cheap auto insurance policy for your vehicle just to do it on time and avoid penalties.

When I was still working as a branch sales head, I was happy that I was not able to do this. There was someone in our branch that was assigned to do this yearly when it comes to business permit renewals. As for our vehicle, the driver was assigned to renew the vehicles permit. All I was tasked to do was to increase the sales of our branch.

Anyway, speaking about taxes, I admire the government’s initiative of having personnel from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) setup tables at SM Malls to make it easier for business owners renew their permits. If you compare, going to their office is quite stressful considering there would be many people flocking there to renew. If they do it in the malls, they will not feel stress easily because of the air conditioning unit that provides ventilation to all. Good thing, right?!

The Difference Between Two Smokers

I am often fascinated why there are some people who smoke and some are really heavy smokers. For me, I have experienced smoking out of curiosity but never got addicted to it because I felt it was inconvenient for me.

Speaking about smoking and smokers, the thing that really fascinates me the most are the two types of smokers, the one who smokes the slim and sleek cigarettes while another smokes the aromatic and bulky cigars. I don’t know why a smoker prefers one from the other when basically they are made from tobacco leaves. If you go and buy White Owl cigars and a box of Marlboro, you will only see the difference in sizes but I believe the contents are just similar.

Anyway, in my little opinion, I guess the difference is the status quo that comes along with it. As I noticed, most cigar smokers are rich and mature man while cigarette smokers vary from the ordinary to a young rich person. Another thing, I haven’t seen a woman cigar smoker but only men of in prime age.

So, in your opinion, what is the difference between cigarettes and cigars? the two smokers?
