Mother’s Day Heartaches

This is actually my 9th year to celebrate Mother’s Day but still it is not well celebrated as other family do. You don’t get treats from your family but only a greeting when you remind them of the occasion.

Anyway, my eldest child gave me a remembrance from the money he earned from his father in which case the father told me to lend my daughter. Technically speaking, they bought me something out of my own money. LOL!!

Oh well, I did cry at the church because I really expected something from my family. I was not hoping that they would give me a spa treat or buy me skin care products but I was eventually expecting even a single handmade card but their wasn’t any. But our church mates gave all moms simple flowers and a computer-generated card which of course I really did appreciate with all my heart.

I appreciated the thoughts of my family besides, it’s the best thing they can do and it’s not a common practice that we celebrate such days especially Mother’s Day. But when Father’s Day comes…the father always expects something which sometimes I felt so unfair.
