Since we transferred to our new rented house, we noticed that our room smells. It smelled like the sewer. For the past few months, we just tried to spray it with an air freshener and sometimes turn on the electric fan just to exhaust the smell out of the room.
Then around July, I noticed that my children always gets cough and colds and eventually gets a fever in the long run. It was an endless cycle that brought about chicken pox and pneumonia to my children. So we consulted the doctor about this, asking if the sewer smell from our room might cause our children getting sick all the time. Then the doctor replied that it is possible because the smell coming out from the sewers are toxic and can cause sickness and disease. So his advice to us is either move or do something about it.
So far, we haven’t moved out because that can’t be the option right now. Class just started and moving needs money which we don’t have much as of the moment. So, my husband and I decided that we should tell the land lord that we are planning to move our air conditioning unit at the smaller room so we can stay there. And that we need to open a hole for it.
As of now, we haven’t moved yet but we will soon. Probably on the next salary of my husband.
