I have always been a fan of Chevrolet cars and now it seems I just might become a truck enthusiast as well! Okay, I know I am not knowledgeable about car repairs or a brake job; I will let Dallas auto repair do that for me. BUT nobody can stop me from admiring the Chevrolet Silverado, which to me, looks like it could do ANYTHING.
The pick up truck is a product of General Motors, which made its first ever pickup in 1930. Basically, this is a type of truck that has been “tried and tested” for several years already. However, these days, the Silverado has been introduced as one of the lower versions instead of the high classed ones. The Sierra is known for being more of a luxury type of pickup truck – although honestly I do not see pickups trucks as a luxury vehicle. It just does not sit well with me.
According to Wikipedia, there are various types of Chevrolet Silverado trucks, including some light-duty ones. There are also some that are built for heavy duty, and if we are talking about my preferences, the light duty ones will do just fine. Besides, its not like I will be lugging around heavy artillery or lumber.
It seems that this truck has been around for quite a while, and it started winning awards since 1999 when it won Motor Trend magazine’s Truck of the Year. Since then, it has won various awards, including the 2011 award from Motor Trend. However, this was the heavy duty model. If you check advertisements, there were some on Youtube that showed the Like a Rock campaign. It showed how the Chevrolet Silverado is one of the most dependable as well as longest lasting trucks being on the road. Though this is not the only truck from Chevrolet and General Motors, it is the one that I want.
