In most schools here, summer vacation has officially begun. But for most other schools, there are a couple more days to go before kids can get to welcome the summer with arms wide open. Personally, I think it’s better if schools have their vacation early to give them more time to enjoy. An earlier vacation will also give schools ample time to inspect school equipment so they can detect early on which stuff needs to replaced, refurbished or totally removed from school premises.

I often hear of stories where equipment being used in a school, like an air conditioner for instance, breaks down right before or on the first day of the new school year and to tell you quite frankly, that can be a bit annoying. I guess other parents would feel the same. Even if we have to break our backs working we still send our children to school so they can learn and develop and the least we can expect is for schools to be conducive to the studies of our kids.
