During the first few months of usage, her notebook could run on battery mode for up to 9 hours. After 9 months, she can still use her notebook on battery for five and a half hours straight. The 4-hour difference is excusable considering the fact that she has an online based job which requires her to use her notebook heavily.

Battery life is very important for me because like her, I’m a heavy user too. But more than that she told me of other great things about acer laptops which makes me wonder if I should buy an Acer instead.

So now, it’s already been a week since I initiated because I am having problems with the backup. The backup wizard option is not activated; therefore I need to transfer manually.
Anyway, I am hoping that all of these will be finished soon. I really need to have all blogs up and running fast and securely!

My friend told me that an online backup would do. So probably, I am looking for a cheap online backup account or probably a free one if it exists.

Anyway, I got my internet access installed here last Monday but since then my connection is very wonky. I always get a network timed out message and get disconnected all the time. And worst slowness and connection happened yesterday and even until now, all internet service providers are having a problem with their internet connection speed because of the damage done to the cables at Asia-Pacific Cable Network 2. It was reported that “a cut in the Asia-Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) undersea submarine cable crippled connection speeds for users in the Asia-Pacific region on Wednesday, particularly in Singapore and the Philippines.”

Now, just imagine how hot headed I am at this moment. I have been suffering from this slowness for almost three days. If there are fire alarms installed in our house, the steam from my hot head would have triggered them by now!

They said that the connection will resume in the late evening of August 13, 2009. So hopefully we will get a better connection speed by then and later today, my ISP technicians will also check my connection if my antenna was installed properly since I am also getting a bad IP and sometimes gets disconnected.

Oh well, I hope my connection gets better in the next few days. Don’t want to have an irritating mood all the time!

Actually, I am not only planning to buy because of the slowness of my PC or my laptop. Having one can also save you a lot of future problems in case you’re PC or your laptop crashes. At least, you have stored the files safely.

Because of this, I told my husband that an additional computer memory and external hard drive would make my Christmas brighter! Anyway, I was happy that he agreed about it but he explained that it’s not feasible right now because of our resources running low. Then I told him it’s OK, I could wait still wait next year!

Oh well, though I don’t have it yet but I am already excited. I can’t wait to painstakingly organize my photos and all.
